My Life…Or Something Like It

I’ve been out to sea the last couple of months. I finally got back on Wednesday and am enjoying a nice long weekend. W:hile I was gone I got to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, Belgium, and Paris. I actually got the chance to spend a couple of days in Paris. While that was not nearly enough time to see suck an awesome city, it was still great. I highly recommend going up in the Eiffel Tower both during the day and night if you’ve got the time. Take the stairs if want the work out, otherwise there is an elevator.

Just found out about this cool blog.  It’s run by the crew of one of the US Navy destroyers as a way to keep their families informed about the ship and it’s happenings.

The US Navy tested an electromagnetic energy rail gun the other day.

I just saw an article about blogging from TextMate (dmitrizone.com), so I decided to try it out since I use TextMate a lot on my Mac. This post was typed and uploaded completely from TextMate!

I adopted a kitten a couple months ago.  I’ve started a website for her.  It’s just another website for me to play around with.  There’s not very much there at the moment, but I’ll be adding more.

Wow…a can’t believe how busy I’ve been the last few months…we’ll yes I can actually.  Let’s run down what I’ve been up to:

• Oct: Bought a house
• Nov: Checked aboard USS Anzio (CG-68), adopted a cat
• Dec: Getting used to shipboard life again, started work on vabeachphotoclub.org
• Jan: Umm…shipboard life (yes it really does take up a lot of time)

Anyway….the next year looks to be one of the busiest I’ve had in a long while, but that’s life in the Navy.

I spent a good portion of the weekend taking photographs with friends from the Virginia Beach Photography Club. Yesterday a few of us went to the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge in Virginia Beach. Today we were at Old Dominion University for India Fest 2007. I’ll post some of my photos after I get done going through them all…which is going to take a while.

I came across this very informative blog post today on easy ways to improve photos.

Went and did some photoshooting with some friends at the First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. Lots of good nature and we were very happy we didn’t run into any snakes.
